William Faulkner's Hunting Lodge

Located in the southwestern corner of Panola County, Mississippi, Faulkner's (General Stone's) old hunting lodge is in fairly good condition considering it's age and unfortunate location in the middle of a swampy area. We visited the lodge on December 31, 2003, to take a look around and to obtain artifacts. This simple website is designed to hopefully be a repository of information about the lodge for researchers...or for those just curious about America's greatest author.

I will expand this site as I collect more information about William Faulkner's favorite hideaway. All contributions to this site in the form of links, photos, or articles, will be credited and greatly appreciated. Feel free to share any knowledge that you might have concerning the lodge. I, for one, would enjoy knowing more about it's history and the time that Faulkner spent there.
